Being overweight means that you have an unhealthy amount of body fat. Your ideal` weight can be assessed using a tool called the Body Mass Index, which can be seen below.
To calculate your BMI, begin by locating height in feet and inches (left hand column), then locate weight in pounds (top row), then join the two up within the BMI table. Example: A person who is 5’10 in height and weighs 170 pounds would have a BMI of 24, which is a ‘healthy weight’.

However, your ideal weight also depends on factors such as your age, type of employment, fitness needs and other things. AustralAsia Health & Fitness appreciates the need for individually determined body weights, and provides its graduates with the expertise to help individual clients achieve the weight best suited to them and their circumstances. In addition to the use of the Body Mass Index the Health and Fitness Consultant will be taught how to use the "O " scale so as to ensure the BM Index is valid.
